Currently on a sold-out European tour, the multi-platinum, Montreal-based band boasts worldwide sales topping 7 million. Simple Plan's fourth album, this summer's Get Your Heart On!, has already reached gold status in Canada and spawned a radio hit in Jet Lag. A testament to their outstanding popularity, the band has been voted Favourite Canadian Band an unprecedented five times by viewers of the MuchMusic Video Awards. Accolades also include the 2006 JUNO Fan Choice Award and the 2005 Teen Choice Award. The members of Simple Plan have used their global popularity for good by starting the Simple Plan Foundation, which raises money for a variety of charities. In 2009 proceeds from the sale of the band's single, Save You, were distributed to various cancer charities. Most recently, the Foundation donated $10,000 towards The Canadian Haiti Relief Fund.
