MTV World Stage Malaysia 2014 is set to take place at Surf
Beach, Sunway Lagoon on Saturday, 16 August 2014. The first two artists
gracing the MTV World Stage for the first time – homegrown international
singer-songwriter, Yuna; and Universal Music Group International’s
first K-pop idol group, Boys Republic – were successfully unlocked via
#worldstagemy by the fans on May 27, 2014.

For the sixth consecutive year, MTV World Stage will be
held in Malaysia at Surf Beach at Sunway Lagoon. A staple since 2009,
this annual music event always showcases performances by musicians in
the local, regional, and international scene. Malaysian artiste Yuna and Kpop’s Boys Republic will be gracing this year’s stage, with more acts to be announced. Details as follows:
Taylor Swift will return to Southeast Asia in June.
Presented by Cornetto, Swift is set to perform in Indonesia,

Music fans in Malaysia can expect yet another festival to attend in January, following the Watsons Music Festival in December. Performers at the upcoming We Love Asia Festival includes international artists Red Foo (LMFAO), Taio Cruz, Steve Aoki, Ferry Corsten, DJ Antoine, Joachim Garraud, and Yolanda Be Cool. Trance music fans across Southeast Asia will have March 2013 to look forward to, as Future Music Festival Asia presents renowned DJ Armin van Buuren‘s A State Of Trance 600 (ASOT600): The Expedition World Tour in Malaysia. Handpicked by Armin himself, the acts whom he will be sharing the stage with are dutch trance duo W&W, Egyptian legends Aly & Fila, Finish producers Super8 & Tab, German duo Cosmic Gate, and a young star of the genre, Ben Gold.
Armin will be hosting his legendary, 600th ‘A State of Trance’ (ASOT
600) event for the first time in Malaysia and Southeast Asia as part of
the Future Music Festival Asia 2013 two-day festival weekend that will
also see a host of other internationally acclaimed acts take on four

Tennessee favourites Paramore will return to Malaysia for their second concert in February 2013, following the previously announced show in the Philippines. The band’s last tour in SEA was in August 2011, which saw them perform in Singapore and Indonesia. Concert details as follows:
Swedish House Mafia will be touring Southeast Asia this January on their One Last Tour prior to their hiatus. The electronic dance music trio of DJs and producers released their second compilation album, Until Now, just recently in October. Catch them live at the following concerts:

Festival is back for the third time in Kuala Lumpur, bigger, better and
edgier than ever! So get your rock on for TM presents Rockaway Festival
2012 brought to you by Livescape Asia.
This year's inaugural festival is set to take
place at the Helipad located in Sepang International Circuit on 20
October 2012. The date is perfectly timed as it coincides with the Moto
GP race weekend. Rockaway this year is officially in association with
SIC organisers of Moto GP, a first venture for both companies.
After what it seems like an eternity of waiting,
Livescape is finally ready to reveal their method for mayhem. Taking a
few notches up from last year's line-up, Rockaway Festival 2012 sets to
feature an excitingly interesting line up. This year's offering includes
legendary metal masters led by the incomparable Max Cavalera, Soulfly,
punk phenomenon, MxPx All Stars and metalcore sensation, Unearth.
On the local forefront, Malaysia's rock scene
heavyweights, Hujan, Love Me Butch and Massacre Conspiracy return with
tons of new material to showcase. Joining them are the highly popular,
Bunkface, I, Revival, The Padangs and Go Gerila. The list of performers
does not end here. Rockaway Festival has more surprises to be revealed
in September.
Fans and friends can expect a lot more activities
within the festival grounds, especially with the addition of a second
stage that will feature acts from The WKND Sessions. The WKND Sessions
are stripped down music showcases that cover indie music all around. At
Rockaway Festival, they will have their own tent to showcase various
acts in one roof. We're also bringing our Rock Cinema back this year
and patrons will also get to entertain themselves with a lot of games
and activations as well as our famous Food Village.
Livescape Asia presents its third Rockaway Fest showcase in KL this July, featuring two international headliners – Boys Like Girls and Motion City Soundtrack. This comes after its two successful showcases earlier this year of Dashboard Confessional and Sum 41 live in Malaysia.

While F1 Rocks has been cancelled due to an alleged contractual dispute, music fans are not left uncompensated. With the cancellation of F1 Rocks, the free concert series of Twin Towers @Live returns, now in its second year at KLCC. Joining Kelis, new performers supposedly joining the line up include Nicole Scherzinger, SNSD, and Orianthi.
